Notice of date of commencement of period for the exercise of public right

Public Notice: Exercise of Public Rights – Accounts for the Year Ended 31 March 2025

In accordance with the Accounts and Audit Regulations 2015, Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014, and the Transparency Code for Smaller Authorities, Branston & Mere Parish Council hereby gives notice of the public’s right to inspect the council’s accounts for the year ending 31 March 2025.

Inspection Period

The accounts may be inspected during the statutory period:
Monday 23 June to Friday 1st August 2025

Any person interested has the right to inspect and make copies of the accounting records and associated documents. These rights can be exercised by appointment with the Responsible Financial Officer.

  • Annual Governance Statement (Section 1)
  • Accounting Statements (Section 2)
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Explanation of variances
  • Supporting documentation (on request)
