The Planning System is changing. Under the new Localism Bill people are being encouraged to become more involved in deciding how their communities should change and grow for the future. Branston and Mere Parish Council needs YOUR help in drawing up a Neighbourhood Plan to establish a long term vision for the Parish to help influence planning policy and improve local facilities. Your views on the development of the community are an integral element of the plan, which when completed and approved carries legal substance.

You can ALL contribute to this process by completing Questions 1 to 11. In addition, if you, or someone in your household, has a supported housing need please also respond to questions 12 to 26.

In many rural areas, people on low incomes are being priced out of the local housing market. In these cases, providing a small number of affordable homes can help to ensure that local people can remain in their community, whatever their age or circumstances.
