Today we entered into the fifth month of this pandemic and who knows how long we’ve got to go ?
Regardless, we once again responded to 8 requests for assistance today, an indication that ‘things’ are not going to end anytime soon and our existence and services are still required. I’ve recently heard the terms ‘exit and drawdown strategies being mentioned with regards to running down Covid-19 support groups. However, whilst I am developing some provisional plans on how best reduce the support commitment and subsequent closure of the Group, I am a realist and currently sincerely believe that it is too early to implement them. As I have previously alluded to, as long as there continues to be a requirement, volunteers and support from organisations, I expect to remain fully operational to the best of our ability until 1st September !
Branston All Saints COVID-19 Food Bank – Thank you again for the generous donations, they are as ever very much appreciated. With regards to face masks, they are still required as is the material, elastic and indeed cotton thread – anything that you can spare will help.
