I can only describe today as a “Gentle Tuesday” (Primal Scream – 1987……!). 5 requests were received, all for residents who remain shielded and are likely to do so until at least 31st July, these are just 5 of many.
Today also saw another step forward with regards to the establishing of a ‘Branston Community Group’ / Good Neighbour Scheme, which I have previously mentioned as a legacy of the Covid-19 pandemic. I enjoyed another very informative conversation and have received excellent guidance from the great staff at YMCA Lincolnshire / Community Lincs. They are very supportive of my aspirations to more forward and are well placed to ensure that it’s a success. It is hoped that in about two weeks a questionnaire will be delivered to every household with a covering letter to ascertain what social, sporting activities and welfare services residents would like to see in Branston. (There are no printing costs, however I will be seeking volunteers to put the foot work in to get them delivered – if you would like to help, please get in touch)
For those who have expressed an interest in supporting this initiative, thank you. However, the doors not closed and if you haven’t responded and would like to be part of this, can I please ask you all to PM with your contact details; mobile number and email address.
Additionally, I can be contacted on 07546 241940 if you have any questions.
Further details can be found at
In the very near future, I will set up a MS Teams meeting to start things off…
Take care and Stay Safe
Thank you for your continuing support – Andy
