Things picked up slightly today with 5 requests for assistance coming in during the course of the day.
One of these was once again from a resident who has not previously contacted the Group who asked for advice about when it was safe enough for them to get out and about. Although their distant relatives had arranged on-line shopping and they they had built up a good relationship with several supermarket delivery drivers, naturally they were keen to venture out. However, their levels of anxiety remains a cause of concern and some confusion for them. For me, whilst obviously not clinically qualified and not wishing to delve into anyone’s medical history, responding to a 89 year old without access to the internet, which is not unusual, is a difficult call.
Additionally, Sonya at the Food Bank received 3 generous donations of provisions which were gratefully received, thank you very much.
