Well it certainly settled down today with only 2 requests coming in. One for shopping and one for welfare. It really has been an up and down week and I’m beginning to sense and see that the requirement for assistance is reducing – however, there is no room for complacency. I’ll reiterate, we’ll remain operational for as long as required to ensure that no one is left unsupported.
Here is the Coronavirus latest from NKDC
The Prime Minster has today given an update on how the UK will continue to move out of lockdown.
It involves extending the plan to lift the remaining national measures which have restricted aspects of daily life.
– From today, anybody may use public transport, but should consider alternative transport where available.
– From August 1, employers will have more choice to consult with employees and make decisions on whether they should continue working from home or not.
– Also from August 1, the Government will allow the reopening of most remaining leisure settings, namely bowling, skating rinks and casinos, and enable all close contact services such as beauticians to resume.
Nightclubs and soft play areas will sadly need to remain closed for now.
– The Government is also looking ahead to winter, with a large flu vaccine campaign to come and investment in the NHS to help it prepare.
It also sets out more detail about how local lockdowns may be managed, where they’re needed.
Remember, from July 24 you will need to wear a mask while inside shops. There are some exceptions – there’s more information below:
