Firstly I must say a massive thank you for all the responses I received with regards to yesterday’s post. The PM’s, calls, emails and FB comments were very humbling and certainly makes all the effort, time, emotion etc all the more worthwhile. Importantly, it provides me with the impetus to continue to support the village with my merry band of volunteers (Andy’s Angel’s) in whatever we can, hopefully from the establishing of the Branston Community Group. Thank you, it’s really appreciated.
Yesterday, I inexcusably forgot to mention that the Branston Charity donated £200 to assist with supporting vulnerable residents across the community. Thank you.
Back to today, things reverted to what has the become norm with 6 requests for assistance; 3 x welfare calls and 3 x shopping trips.

New settings for face masks
From August 8, the places where you will have to wear a face covering will be expanded to include:
funeral directors
premises providing professional, legal or financial services
cinemas
theatres
bingo halls
concert halls
museums, galleries, aquariums, indoor zoo’s or visitor farms, or other indoor tourist, heritage or cultural sites
nail, beauty, hair salons and barbers – other than where necessary to remove for treatments
public areas in hotels and hostels
place of worship
libraries and public reading rooms
community centres
social clubs
tattoo and piercing parlours
indoor entertainment venues
storage and distribution facilities
veterinary services.
