Today certainly ticked over with 9 requests being responded to – so much for things slowing down ! (2 x Prescriptions, 2 x Shopping, 2 x Welfare, 3 x Miscellaneous)
Importantly, this helped us break through the 900 landmark, ending today with 905 successfully completed tasks to date !!! What an achievement and very well done to all the volunteers.
For a bit of fun, I’m thinking about running a sweepstake as to on what date we’ll hit the big 1000 – I’m sure that I can rustle up a prize – Any takers? 🤔
There were also two other highlights today:
Yesterday I mentioned that the FareShare ‘deal’ was finishing at the end of August. However, I’m extremely pleased to inform you that they have contacted me and stated that they will continue to provide a free service to Branston until the end of September!, which is great news. I’m sure you’ll all join me in giving them a big grateful thank you. 🙏🏻
Finally, I embraced another opportunity to spread word of the great work and achievements of the Branston Covid-19 Support Group with Carla Greene on BBC Radio Lincolnshire at 1245hrs today – always a pleasure and thank you.
