Well, whatever happened today ? 11 requests for help came in and were dutifully responded to !
(4 x Shopping trips, 3 x welfare visits, 2 x miscellaneous tasks and 2 x prescription deliveries). Is this a one off, or the start of the ‘new normal’ – too early to say I would suggest…..
With such ‘peaks and troughs’ in the daily statistics, we are of course heading towards the milestone of 1000 !!
For a bit of fun, if anyone would like to guess as to what day we’ll hit this target, please let me know- There’s a prize for the winner
As a start point, we hit 900 a week ago !!
Branston All Saints Covid-19 Food Bank – It is being proposed that the Food Bank remains operational until the October Half Term to cover any potential increase in demand. As such, I’ve added two additional weeks to the list. However, to enable this to happen, I’m still looking for volunteers to manage the Food Bank for the following weeks:
W/C 7 Sep & 8 Sep only
W/C 14 Sep
W/C 21 Sep
W/C 28 Sep
W/C 5 Oct
W/C 12 Oct
If you are interested, available and would like to play your part in helping those in need and supporting the community, please give me a call on 07546 241940.
Finally, thank you to BBC Radio Lincolnshire, who once again today provided me with the opportunity of promoting the Group and seeking volunteers.
Take care and Stay Safe
Thank you for your continued support
