Well once again it was a steady day, as we received 8 calls for assistance. The breakdown is 1 x Shopping trip, 3 x Welfare calls, 1 x Miscellaneous, 2 x prescription collection and 1 x Food Box delivery.
For the record, it was 6 months ago today on Monday 23rd March 2020 that I formed this group in direct response to the Branston Parish Council activating its LCC / LRF approved Emergency Plan. Having only just returned from Sri Lanka, a Parish wide leaflet drop was completed and a FB page was set up, shortly followed by the Branston All Saints Covid-19 Food Bank. This very quickly attracted literally dozens of volunteers and of course vulnerable residents who required help, some of which still do. As they say the rest is history…………… but now we’ve successfully completed 1065 responses !!
