Week 31 comes to end very quietly without any calls being received.
Fortunately, despite a stinking cold, not COVID related I might add, I was afforded some time to crack on with some preparatory work for the formation of the Branston Community Group – Good Neighbour Scheme. Through previous messages and the subsequent results from the recent GNS survey for volunteers, I now have 40+ people who have expressed their support to enable this to happen and to deliver a valuable service to the community. There’s no limit to how many volunteers we can have, so if you’re interested, please get in touch.
Once the committee has been named; 1 x Chairman (Me!), 1 x Secretary, 1 x Treasurer and up to 5 x committee members and the constitution ratified, we’ll be ready to transition from this group to the new one. As previously mentioned, the functionality and the provision of services will remain the same, including telephone numbers etc. In essence, it’s just the name that is changing.
At some point, I will close this page and invite all 281 of you to join me on a new page. In the meantime it remains business as usual.
