Well, where do I start this evening? Week 34 started with a real merengue of 17 requests for assistance coming in and being successfully responded to. The breakdown is as follows:
8 x Welfare – 7 of which were ‘controlled’ home visits
4 x Prescription collection and deliveries
3 x Shopping trips
2 x Miscellaneous
Interestingly, but not unexpected, three requests were from residents who had not been in touch for a couple of months and two were ‘new’ requestee’s.
Active Volunteers
Having spent the day nursing a poorly and painful eye with very limited visibility, thank you to those who have been in contact and updated me on their individual circumstances that affects their availability. This is a great help in reducing calls and time, and thus increasing our ‘operational effectiveness’.
