Today saw us back into double figures with 10 requests for assistance being received. These were in the form of:
5 x Welfare calls, three of which were visits
3 x Miscellaneous (Primarily requesting information about the future of the group).
2 x Food box deliveries
Additionally, there were several generous donations for the Food Bank, thank you.
1100hrs – 11th November
Once again this year I had the honour and privilege of laying a wreath at the War Memorial on behalf of the Parish Council and the residents of Branston & Mere. A small symbolic gesture thats relevance is so powerful. It was also good to speak to fellow residents about their family connections to those named in the memorial and to meet fellow veterans – “Lest we forget”
Protection and Safety
We are undoubtedly now at that stage of this pandemic that more of us have either been infected or know someone who has, whereas only a few short months ago we were considering ourselves relatively safe in sleepy Branston. It goes without saying that the need to protect ourselves is more relevant now than what its ever been, please adhere to the guidelines.
Lincolnshire Sport & Physical Activity Awards – Thu 12 Nov 20 @ 1900hrs
Unfortunately, but for obvious reasons the awards will take place online and not in a fancy decorated ballroom with all the pomp and ceremony. However, it is planned to be a great evening and I hope that you will join me.
Take care and Stay Safe
Thank you for your continuing support and fingers crossed for a hat-trick – Andy
