Well we’ll, a much quieter day with just 4 calls coming in, 2 calls were for welfare advice the others were for miscellaneous reasons.
Here are a few other statistics for today:
300 – We’ve made it, the number of Group members !
£1570.00 – This is the incredible amount of money that has been so kindly and generously donated to the Food Bank. Thank you so very much to all of those who have dipped into their pockets, it is truly humbling really appreciated. Rest assured it has been used and will continue to be used to benefit the community and in some cases has and will make a real and significant difference to people’s lives and wellbeing.
Request for Assistance in delivering Christmas Hampers
I’ve left this post in to hopefully attract more volunteers.
If you’d like to help out with this meaningful task, please let me know by calling 07395 906220. The first deliveries will begin at 1030am next Tuesday, 8th December at the Church Hall and will continue throughout the week.
Finally, I’ve never been in any doubt as to why the formation and capabilities of the group are so important to so many people, not just during this pandemic but for the future and for all of us. We’ve proven time and again, that in addition to existing welfare and care services, the requirement for community volunteer support is real. The following letter sums up the appreciation of a recipient and underpins why so many volunteers and I, do what we do.
Take care and Stay Safe
Thank you for your continuing support – Andy
