It has been another incredible day as a total of 21 requests came in and most of these were before 11 o’clock. But that doesn’t matter as they were all swiftly and successfully responded to by our great team of volunteers.

They came in the shape of:

9 x Miscellaneous
4 x Prescription collection and deliveries
3 x Shopping trips
3 x Welfare &
2 x Food box deliveries

Branston All Saints Food Bank
Thank you very much to those who so generously donated today. This valuable community asset and capability is increasingly in demand and as such all the donations are gratefully received for the benefit of those in need amongst us.
The following items are currently in short supply:

Washing powder / liquid
Toilet rolls
Fabric softener
Tinned meats; ham, hotdogs
Ketchup
Fruit juices
Coffee and sugar

Additionally, if anyone has any ‘Bags for Life’ that are no longer required, we’d be grateful for them too.

Request for Volunteer Information (Reposted)
Thank you to those who have responded:

This week I will be conducting a ‘roll call’, requesting that all volunteers let me know what their current availability and status is. This will enable Jim and I to have an update list of who is ‘active’ and able to assist, thus saving time and bring inconvenienced by unnecessary calls. I would like to have this new consolidated list completed by 1300 hrs on Sunday 10th January. Your help and co-operation in achieving this will be appreciated.

Furthermore, once compiled I will distribute new lanyards and passes. The roll out of photographic passes will commence at a later date.

If you are no longer wish to or are unable to assist, can you please, firstly let me know and then either drop off your green Volunteer pass at the Food Bank or pop it through my door.

Lincolnshire Co-op Community Champions – ‘Heads-Up’
I am very pleased to inform you that our Community Champions application for the Spring quarter has made the final shortlist to go through to voting.

Voting will take place on the Co-op website and will run from Monday 18th January to Sunday 31st January 2021. Anyone who is a member of Lincolnshire Co-op will be eligible to vote. All you have to do is visit lincolnshire.coop/ccvote during the voting window and vote to support the Branston Community Group – Good Neighbour Scheme.

Whilst online voting is encouraged it is understood that not everyone has access to the internet so the Co-op Membership Team will be on hand during the voting period to take any votes over the phone – just call 01522 781135.

Your participation in this process will assist the Group in potentially being awarded funding to help set us up and financially prepare us for 2021.

Please note the dates for the voting window, but rest assured I’ll be reposting this again.

Take care and Stay Safe – Andy, Jim, Linda, Liam, Kev, Jonathan, Foxy and Joseph 👍
