As we move into Week 43, there continues to be a steady flow of requests coming in – today it was 13 and they looked like this:
9 x Miscellaneous (Dog walking, vaccine advice, transport advice)
2 x Food Box deliveries
1 x Prescription collection and delivery &
1 x Welfare
However, importantly we passed through the 1800 milestone today and finished on 1809 successfully being responded to.
I was wondering whether we would break the 1800 on the 300th day, just to make the maths easy with maintaining our daily average of 6 requests per a day, but I’m not complying at 6.1 ! Needless to say that this would not have been achieved without the fantastic support and dedication from every volunteer. The contribution to the welfare, safety and protection of vulnerable residents, community engagement and recognition that Branston now has, is simply amazing. Thank you to each and every one of you.
Branston All Saints Food Bank
Today Jan received five food and cash donations – thank you very much. Yet again another example of the great community spirit that exists in Branston.

The demand for Dialaride services has gone through the roof, mainly for trip requests for get Covid jabs. Residents are reminded that Dialaride is funded and supported by NKDC through your council tax payments and is a very effective transport service for those that need it. Lincolnshire Co-op Community Champions – ‘Heads-Up for next Monday’
I am very pleased to inform you that our Community Champions application for the Spring quarter has made the final shortlist to go through to voting.
Voting will take place on the Co-op website and will run from next Monday 18th January to Sunday 31st January 2021. Anyone who is a member of Lincolnshire Co-op will be eligible to vote. All you have to do is visit lincolnshire.coop/ccvote during the voting window and vote to support the Branston Community Group – Good Neighbour Scheme.
Whilst online voting is encouraged it is understood that not everyone has access to the internet so the Co-op Membership Team will be on hand during the voting period to take any votes over the phone – just call 01522 781135.
Your participation in this process will assist the Group in potentially being awarded funding to help set us up and financially prepare us for 2021.
