Things were a lot slower today, but nonetheless still busy for a Saturday with 11 calls coming in, in the form of:
5 x Welfare
2 x Prescription collection and deliveries
2 x Shopping trips
1 x Food Box delivered &
1 x Miscellaneous
Tonight’s theme is Community Engagement which is defined as the involvement and participation in an organisation for the welfare and benefit of the community.
It has been successfully proven that community engagement during difficult times such as the current pandemic provides a vital function and there is no reason why it shouldn’t continue. The aim of the Branston Community Group is to ensure that this happens, incorporating all things welfare, sporting and social etc. This will not only help in bringing residents together and providing support, but will also go a long way to make Branston & Mere and Branston Booths a great place to live and raise families.
