Despite ‘only’ having 17 requests coming, that involved 12 welfare, 3 x Miscellaneous, 1 x Shopping trip and 1 x Prescription collection and delivery it’s been an amazingly busy day. Indeed, I’m sure that there were several others that were dealt with, but I’ve just been too busy to record them.
On a personal note, I would like to say a huge thank you to those who provided swift and professional assistance and advice to me that resulted in a 999 call and an elderly friend being admitted into Lincoln Hospital earlier. It is really appreciated.
On a brighter note, I’ve received a couple of good news stories where new volunteers have successfully engaged with lonely residents and established relationships to assist with their well-being.
