After all of yesterday’s activity, things took a different tern today and it was a lot quieter with 8 requests and tasks coming in.
5 x welfare, 1 x Shopping trip and 1 x Prescription collection and delivery and finally 1 x Food Box delivery.
Important Request for Volunteer Assistance
I’m still seeking a volunteer to assist a gentleman in Branston Booths. Being referred by welfare services, the role of the volunteer will be to meet him for friendly chats once a week. Primarily, this will help his loneliness and help with his well-being. If you are able to assist or would like further information, please give me a call on 07395 906220.
Volunteer Safety & Protection
I would like to take this opportunity to once again remind volunteers to please adhere to the guidelines in respect of protecting themselves and others whilst conducting jobs. The new strain(s) of Covid-19 are particularly rampart as highlighted in the national news. Please ensure that appropriate protective measures are taken, as well as respecting confidentiality. Additionally, please be very careful when out and about, either driving or on foot during these current conditions. Finally, if you would like a Hi-viz waterproof jacket and trousers or a vest, please let me know.
