After a very quiet weekend, today saw eight requests for assistance being received. It was satisfying to help two new residents with their initial requests and also to be able to support a resident in a neighbouring Parish after being contacted by NKDC Wellbeing.
There are now 80 ‘recorded’ residents who have been assisted over the past 5 weeks. Of these ten haven’t been in contact recently so they received welfare calls today to ensure that all is well. I’m pleased to say that there were no issues and they are slowly adapting to life in isolation and on-line shopping etc. Furthermore, to help beat the loneliness they were informed of the volunteers who have offered their services for a friendly chat.
The Food Bank continues in its important role. For those who would like to donate items, tinned meats and toiletries will be appreciated. Additionally, the Branston Junior School still requires cleaning materials.
