A steady but interesting day with 8 requests for assistance being received, three of which were for Canwick, Lincoln and Metheringham !
It’s amazing how far the reputation of the group and especially the Food Bank has spread.

Day 47 – 9 May 2020
Only four requests for assistance were received today with one coming from a resident in Metheringham.
Here is an extract from the Lincolnshire Resilience Forum, Communities & Volunteers Newsletter:
Working together, the British Red Cross, British Red Cross Community Reserve Volunteers, Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue Preservation Service, Lincolnshire 4 x 4, LIVES, Lincolnshire Community Assistance Scheme (LCAT) have achieved:
590 spontaneous volunteers have now been emailed and signposted towards Connect to Support on which are those voluntary groups who have come forward, been indemnified by the LRF and have given permission for details to go on the website
907 physical welfare checks
432 food parcels
54 prescriptions
416 vol groups / 6992 vols (222 groups have been indemnified and are being utilised by LRF
3000 calls answered by the Customer Service Centre through the Covid 19 Helpline for Lincolnshire residents seeking information and advice
1860 requests received and supported by the Wellbeing Service Community Support Team from those needing assistance
6800 calls made by the Customer Service Centre to those in the Extremely Vulnerable or Shielded group offering access to support should they need it. Together with the welfare checks completed through the CVC Cell, over 7,400 in this group have now had contact through this pathway.
1800 Lincolnshire residents connected to appropriate support by the Wellbeing Extremely Vulnerable Team, utilising the NHS volunteers, British Red Cross, Community and voluntary groups.

Daily Summary – Day 48 – Sun 10 May 2020
It has been a very quiet day with only one request for assistance being received. Fortunately this has provided a little respite to enable some administrative matters to be completed; namely the collation of statistics and the ordering food for the next FareShare delivery on Tuesday.

Day 49 – Mon 11 May 2020
Only four requests for assistance were received today. Additionally, a food donation was made as was a donation of cash, both of which were gratefully appreciated.
Tomorrow we will welcome the second FareShare delivery to the Food Bank which will serve to enhance its capability to provide for those in need.

Day 50 🎯 – Tue 12 May 2020
Today, two further milestones have been reached. Firstly, it has been 50 days since the formation of the Group and secondly over 300 requests have been received.
It has been a relatively steady day during which six requests for assistance were received, resulting in residents within and outside of the Parish being supported. Additionally, the second FareShare (Hull & Humber) food bank delivery arrived, consisting of a further 150kg of provisions that is now being quarantined prior to distribution.
As this is the 50th day of operation, I would like to furnish you with some statistics:
To date, 74 active volunteers have responded to 302 requests consisting of the following:
155 – Prescription collections
74 – Shopping tasks
40+ – Miscellaneous tasks
22 – Welfare tasks
15 – Food Boxes provided by the Branston All Saints Food Bank
254 – FaceBook Group Membership
Finally, 95 Branston residents are regularly assisted and 16 residents from neighbouring communities, North Hykeham and Lincoln have been supported.
