NK Community Champions Awards 2020 – Community Safety Winner

I am very proud and pleased to receive this award in recognition of the achievements of the Branston Parish Council Covid-19 Support Group.

From the outset it has been very much a team effort. I have been very fortunate and I will be forever grateful for the amazing support and dedication of each and every volunteer, and the newly found community spirit. This has been displayed in the response for food donations and face masks, and also reflected in the amount of cash that has been given. The support from those organisations* who have assisted and the relationships that have been established with staff etc is also greatly appreciated.

There is no doubt in my mind that we’ve made a significant and potentially life saving contribution to the safety and protection of vulnerable residents right across the Parish, during what has been unprecedented times.

Finally, when the time is right, we’ll celebrate together !
